Goal: Answer "How" Questions

Sample Goal:

During a 10-minute conversation sample, Client will appropriately answer “how” questions on at least 80% of observed opportunities (times when the client is asked a “how” question).

Therapy Phases:

  1. Answer Quantity “How” Questions:  Client will answer “how” questions about quantity (such as, “how many ___ are there” and “how much ____ is there”) with at least 80% accuracy.
  2. Answer Quality “How” Questions: Client will answer “how” questions about the qualities of something (such as, “how does it feel”, “how does it look”, “how does it taste”, “how does it smell”, and “how does it taste”) with at least 80% accuracy.
  3. Answer Extent “How” Questions: Client will answer “how” questions about the extent of a quality of something (such as “how sad are you” or “how wet is your swimsuit”) by using words like “very”, “a little”, and “not at all” with at least 80% accuracy.
  4. Answer Procedural “How” Questions: Client will answer “how” questions about the procedure for completing a task (such as “how do you wash your hands”) with at least 80% accuracy.
  5. Answer Mixed “How” Questions in Structured Activity: Client will answer a variety of “how” questions during a structured activity with at least 80% accuracy.
  6. Answer Mixed “How” Questions in Unstructured Conversation: During a 10-minute conversation sample, Client will appropriately answer “how” questions on at least 80% of observed opportunities (times when the client is asked a “how” question).
