Some children habitually speak in a pitch that is too high or too low. This can be a result of a physical problem with the voice so it should be checked out by a doctor first. However, if no physical problem is found, it can be useful to increase the child’s awareness of what is a high, low, or normal pitch for the voice. Use this worksheet to help the child hear and understand the difference between high, low, and normal pitches for speech.
