Goal: Answer "Where" Questions

Sample Goal:

During a 10-minute conversation sample, Client will appropriately answer “where” questions on at least 80% of observed opportunities (times when the client is asked a “where” question).

Therapy Phases:

  1. Answer “Where” Questions on Self with Pointing: Client will respond to “where” questions on self (like “where’s your nose” or “where’s your tummy”) by pointing to the correct body part with at least 80% accuracy.
  2. Answer “Where” Questions with Pointing: Client will respond to “where’s the ___” questions by pointing to the correct picture/object with at least 80% accuracy.
  3. Verbally Answer “Where” Questions with Two Choices: When given two possible locations/options, Client will verbally answer “where’s the ____” questions by saying the correct location with at least 80% accuracy (example: “Where’s the cow” when there is a barn and a house present).
  4. Answer “Where” Questions about Things Currently Present:  Client will answer “where” questions about the location of objects that the client can see by verbally describing the location with at least 80% accuracy (example: “Where’s your shoe?” “By the door”).
  5. Abstract/Hypothetical “Where” Questions: Client will answer “where” questions about things not immediately present (such as “where do you sleep”) by verbally describing the location with at least 80% accuracy.
  6. Answer Mixed “Where” Questions in Structured Activity: Client will answer a variety of “where” questions during a structured activity with at least 80% accuracy.
  7. Answer Mixed “Where” Questions in Unstructured Conversation: During a 10-minute conversation sample, Client will appropriately answer “where” questions on at least 80% of observed opportunities (times when the client is asked a “where” question).
