How To Do It

• Make it simple and easy to do
• Give them a few common words to correct
• Pick a specific time of day the teacher will listed for errors
• Post the child’s speech words or work in the room and show teacher how to run the child through the exercise 1x per day
• Go in the classroom and model teacher strategies
• Offer school-sponsored inservice once per quarter for interested teachers
• Offer to work class materials into your session and then show them how to do the carry-over
• Set up a check-in system in the classroom where the teacher periodically reminds the student about a specific goal he is working on
• Show the teacher nonverbal cues she can use to remind a child to do something
