Model a variety of types of words/structures by doing each of the following in isolation and then in an appropriate length utterance/sentence (use their MLU):
- Label 5 objects the child is interested in
- Use 5 descriptors to describe the object
- Use possessives to describe those 5 objects
- Use demonstratives with each of those 5 objects (this, that)
- Label 5 actions that the child does or is interested in
- Use recurrence to repeat each action (again) or add more for an object (more)
- Use 5 locatives to describe the objects or actions (location words, spatial concepts)
- Use cessation to stop the 5 actions (stop, no)
- Use disappearance to indicate the object is all gone or action is all done
