This is a normal part of learning!

Tips to Fix

  • Work on multiple sounds/skills, focus on just one for a while
  • Mix target words in with non-examples
(example: words with and without final consonants or final /k/ words with other final consonants)
  • Use minimal pairs with multiple sounds (bat. hat, cat)
    -Do auditory discrimination for listening
  • Auditory tasks where you ask them if they heard the target sound or not
  • Repeat their errors back to see if it sounds right
