Conducting Evaluations and Screenings

Description:

Part of our jobs as speech-language pathologists is determining who needs services in the first place.  Often, the setting we work in has more influence on this than we like as companies, school districts, or states set rules for who can qualify for services in a particular location.  However, it’s still important for us to conduct thorough evaluations and make recommendations based on what we feel is in the best interest of the client.  Here are several resources that will help you with your screenings and evaluations to do just that.

**NOTE: More assessment and evaluation information can be found on the various “condition” pages that go into depth about how to evaluate and treat the different conditions we cover.
