Goal: Use the Pronoun "they" in Conversational Speech
Sample Goal:
During a 10-minute observation in the natural setting, Client will correctly use the pronoun “they” in at least 80% of obligatory contexts (i.e., places where it should be used) during conversational speech.

Therapy Phases:
- Receptive identification of the pronoun ‘they’ – Client will demonstrate understanding of the pronoun “they” by pointing to a picture as described by the clinician using the pronoun “they” with at least 80% accuracy (e.g., “point to they are running” when there are pictures of a single person running and two people running).
- Using the pronoun ‘they’ in short phrases – Client will correctly use the pronoun “they” in a short phrase in response to a question by the clinician with at least 80% accuracy (e.g., “who is running?” – “they are”).
- Using the pronoun ‘they’ in sentences – Client will use the pronoun “they” in sentences when describing a picture or scene with at least 80% accuracy.
- Using the pronoun ‘they’ when asking questions – Client will use the pronoun “they” when forming questions during a structured activity with at least 80% accuracy.
- Using the pronoun ‘they’ in structured conversation – Client will correctly use the pronoun “they” in structured conversation tasks (e.g., answering open-ended questions, retelling short stories) in at least 80% of obligatory contexts (i.e., places where it should be used).
- Generalization/Using the pronoun ‘they’ in unstructured conversation – During a 10-minute observation in the natural setting, Client will correctly use the pronoun “they” in at least 80% of obligatory contexts (i.e., places where it should be used) during conversational speech.
