Welcome to Week 5 of Flexible Location Therapy!

Can you believe we’ve already made it to week five of our Summer Reset?! Right now, you’re already getting dangerously close to getting your Flexible-Therapy practice off to the races . . . but this week is where the rubber really meets the road.

One of the game-changers for me as far as simplifying my therapy and being able to switch between in-person and teletherapy has been embracing the 3:1 ratio for therapy and review. So that’s what we’re working on today!

What is the 3:1 Ratio of Therapy:Review?

Maintaining a 3:1 ratio for your therapy and review simply means that we’re going to plan on spending three weeks of every month working on intense therapy, and one week doing review. When I say “intense,” I mean getting in as many reps as possible . . . which is going to mean approaching data collection a little differently than what you might be used to.

ASSIGNMENT: Embrace the 3:1 Model

CHECKLIST

  1. Decide whether you want to do Daily Notes.

    1. If so, grab our Daily Notes template here. You’ll want 1-2 copies per client. Stick these behind the main data page in your data notebook. These will cover your first three weeks of the month.

  2. Decide when your first review week will be.

    1. I prefer to do these the last week of each month, but the precise time doesn’t really matter. Just be consistent!

    2. Write your review week date in your calendar.

  3. Do your 3 weeks of therapy.

  4. In week 4, take a full week of data.

    1. Be specific and comprehensive. Take data on every rep. See exactly what the client’s percentage is. This will help you plan for the month ahead.
